The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Best Cookies Ever!
For many, many years I have been in search of the perfect Chocolate Chip cookie recipe. I like my cookies soft, chewy and gooey. All of the recipes I found were just not cutting it. Finally a friend posted a picture of these amazing looking cookies and I had to know her secret. She was kind enough to share so I quickly whipped up a batch. Much to my surprise, they were wonderful! Of course I had to make them Mickey shaped and now I would love to pass the recipe on to you.
What you'll need:
1/2 cup of Butter (1 stick) - Barely Melted
1/2 cup of Sugar
1/4 cup Brown Sugar - Heaping and Packed
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Egg
2 cups of Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/4 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Cup of Chocolate Chips
Baking Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350*
2. Cream Butter, Sugar and Brown sugar until light and fluffy
3. Add Egg and Vanilla to Butter blend. Mix for 15 seconds
4. In separate bowl, whisk 1 &1/2 cup Flour, Baking Soda, Salk and Baking Powder.
5. Add Flour Mixture on top of the Butter Mixture.
6. Mix well. Add last 1/2 cup of flour slowly until dough forms.
7. Add Chocolate chips and fold in by hand with a spatula.
8. For Mickey Cookies; roll 1 Tablespoon of dough for the head and two 1 teaspoon sized balls for the ears.
For regular cookies; roll dough into 12 cookies
9. Place cookies on baking sheet lined with Parchment Paper
10. Bake for 9-11 minutes
11. Let sit on cookie sheet for 5 minutes then cool on a cooling rack
